Hikes and walks in the resort:
We propose you ten mountain hikes. All of them are marked out and easy to
realize with family or friends. A map of these trails is available at the
tourist information.
The nature studies path about
the flora of the moor :
This hike allows you to discover the unique ecosystem of the largest moor in
the Alps, relic of the last Ice Age. The area is protected by law and belongs to
the European ecological network Natura 2000. Many rare species are known to
occur in the biotope, in particular carnivore plants. Guided hikes are conducted
by naturalists every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 2 pm to 4:30
pm (free of charge). Brochures about the flora of the moor and posters are
available at the tourist information.
The forest
trail:
Discover the pleasures of the mountain forest. Information panels put up by
the French Forest Service (Office National des Forêts) may allow you to learn
trees and plants. Free entry.
Starting point: Route de Bisanne (before
intersection of the road leading to the VVF).
New: The
moor trail “Les Arpelières” :
The trail allows to explore the specific wildlife of the moor. Easy: 4,2 km,
2 ½ hours Starting point: Bridge at Nant Rouge on the way to Crest-Voland (D71
a).
Hikes accessible by chair lift :
From July 5 to August 25:The chairlift “La Légette” is
open every Tuesday and Thursday from 11 am to 4:15 pm. Climbing
up to an altitude of 1865 m, the chairlift allows you to discover an impressive
and wide panorama of the Mont Blanc, the Beaufortain Valley and the mountain
range of “les Aravis”. Attention: the chairlift doesn’t operate by bad weather
or thunderstorm.

Mountain Biking :
Different signposted mountain biking trails both for beginners and advanced
bikers start from Les Saisies. A guide of the trails is available at the tourist
information.
The chairlift “La Légette” is open to mountain bikers every
Tuesday and Thursday.
